Sustainable energy with style: efficient slate roof installation in the Pyrenees
Simplicity, stability and flexibility with the novotegra mounting system for slate roofs
This project was realised with incredible views of the Pyrenees, where it now serves both ecological and economic purposes.
Aínsa, Huesca, Spain
Setting the scene
Selba Enerchías Renovables was responsible for the realisation of this collective self-consumption installation in Aínsa, Huesca, with incredible views of the Aragonese Pyrenees. BayWa r.e. provided the devices requested for the installation.
Meeting the challenges
The main challenge of this installation was the slate roof with a high pitch. The installer opted for the coplanar structure made of novotegra with the tile roof hook C for slate roofs. These tile roof hook sets adapt perfectly to any type of slate roof and allow a quick and efficient installation. In addition, the C47 rail serves as a cable channel for all cables, which makes it easier to manage these cables in the installation and supports the aesthetics without the need for clips.
The result
The residents of the building decided to switch to renewable energies for both economic and ecological reasons, as well as to achieve a certain energy independence. After completion of the plant, it should achieve an energy independence of 73.5 % and a degree of self-sufficiency of almost 50 %. Since it is a community of residents, the owners of the plant will amortise the investment in just two years.
