Fastening mounting rails for solar modules can be a real challenge on pitched roofs. With our roof hooks, however, mounting the modules is simple and convenient.
Whether beaver tail tiles or more common roof tiles, you will find the right solution for various tiled roofs and tile types in our portfolio. Different tile sizes or tiles with narrow corrugations are also no obstacle.
Side mounting or fastening from above?
Our top-fix roof hooks are the first choice for mounting from above. You can find all the information and advantages of side-fix roof hooks for side mounting here.
Material and shape provide stability and reliability
At first glance, novotegra top-fix roof hooks are unusually slim in shape, which is due to the use of round steel (i.e. round-drawn stainless steel). This design in combination with the material creates key advantages:
Slim bow shape
Thanks to the thin bow, tile lead-throughs of only 15 mm width are possible. This means that the roof tiles only require minimal processing. This not only protects the material, but also makes installation easier and considerably reduces the time required.
Long-lasting & robust
Stainless steel roof hooks are resistant to environmental influences and last for many years. This durability saves time and money, as the substructure does not have to be replaced immediately during maintenance.
Stable & load-bearing
Due to the flattening of the bracket in the area of the tile lead-through, it is not necessary to cut as deeply into the tile, which contributes to the load-bearing capacity. Thanks to the drawn round steel, the stirrups are extremely stable and can absorb high loads. This prevents tile breakage.
Corrosion resistant
Stainless steel is highly resistant to rust and corrosion. This is particularly important when mounting photovoltaic systems, as components are exposed to all weather conditions over the years.
Centric load application
The innovative design allows the load to be applied centrally. This reduces the load on the base profile and the fastening material (the screws). The overall statics are optimised, so the spacing between the rafters can be greater.
Three adjustment options for maximum flexibility
novotegra roof hook sets each consist of a base profile and a bracket that is screwed into the profile. This design allows triple adjustability so that the roof hooks can be ideally adapted to any tiled roof.
- Lateral alignment on a row of holes: for optimum positioning on the rafters
- Adjustment of the bracket height: for adaptation to the thickness of the roof panel
- Adjustable rail supports: for levelling out waves in the roof and a level rail position
The right hook for every roof
Depending on the region, roof construction and rafters, special requirements are placed on the substructure of the PV system. We offer a high-quality solution for all requirements.
- The ZD roof hook is our standard solution for fastening the mounting rails, which is used in many installations and can withstand the highest loads.
- If more flexibility is required and the load is lower, the Flex roof hook is an alternative. Especially in regions with lower snow and wind loads, the Flex is a perfect choice.
- For roof tiles with a large overlap, the ZD long roof hook set comes into play: depending on the type of roof tile, between 120 and 135 mm overlap can be securely installed.
- For roofs with a plain tile covering, we recommend the specially developed BS roof hook. This roof hook set is optimised for the small batten spacing of plain tile roofing and is impressive in terms of both functionality and aesthetics.
By the way: All our roof hooks are also available in a double version to ensure an even higher load-bearing capacity.

PV mounting systems for tiled roofs
novotegra offers a choice between clamping and insertion systems for mounting photovoltaic systems on tiled roofs. The top-fix roof hooks as components of these fastening systems can be used for both variants. The solar modules can also be mounted vertically or horizontally.n.
PV mounting systems for all roof types and solar modules
In addition to the roof hooks for mounting on pitched roofs with tiled and plain tile roofing, there are also systems available for fastening photovoltaic systems that meet the requirements of other roof coverings such as shingles, slate, bitumen, corrugated eternit and sandwich as well as seamed and trapezoidal sheet metal. Fastening systems are also available for other roof types such as flat roofs.
