Setting the scene

In a picturesque location on the southern edge of Kleinmachnow at Zehlendorfer Damm, the Bäkemühle stands as a silent witness to times gone by. Its origins date back to the 15th century, and although the building has undergone several renovations and has even been completely rebuilt twice over the centuries, it has always retained its charme.

Meeting the challenges

This historic building, however, has not remained untouched by time and now serves as a bridge between tradition and modernity. The building's owners decided to upgrade the seamed metal roof with a PV system. The challenge was to obtain the necessary approval for this unique building — a hurdle that was successfully overcome thanks to the dedication of all involved.

The result

The project was carried out by SolarPowerTec, a renowned installation company. Enphase microinverters were combined with novotegra's clamping system to ensure optimal performance and seamless aesthetic integration.
The numbers speak for themselves: the system, with a capacity of 20 kWp, not only generates clean energy but also saves an impressive 23.77 tons of CO2 annually—a significant step toward a more sustainable future.
