Energy independence for Poland’s commercial sector
Solar-Planit helps perfect rooftop PV design
The whole supply chain has its part to play in decarbonisation. We helped a Polish warehouse building add 123 PV modules to its flat roof.
Bydgoszcz, Poland
Setting the scene
In Bydgoszcz, Poland, Hydrosolar’s Sport Factory warehouse management wanted to take a step towards energy self-sufficiency. For its flexibility in design, we were approached to use novotegra to support 123 Trina Vertex S 405W BFR modules.
Meeting the challenges
At the design phase, it became clear we had to arrange the panels in a way that minimises shading. Solar-Planit let us divide the structure’s rows easily, to accommodate power optimisers alongside the novotegra substructure, leaving roof sheathing intact.
The result
After one week of planning and two weeks of implementation, the Bydgoszcz site now produces 50kWp of solar power. Overall, it’s saving 36.86 tonnes of CO2 per year.
