Setting the scene

The customer's single-family house is located on a hillside and has a tiled roof. The aim of the project was to cover the customer's own consumption, reduce electricity costs and contribute to the energy transition. The home and building technology were to be optimized, including hot water heating and the use of e-cars, e-bikes and e-scooters. A side-fix landscape insertion system from novotegra was used to install the PV modules on the roof.

Meeting the challenges

The location of the house on a hillside presented special challenges, particularly regarding wind loads. It was necessary to ensure that the PV system was installed in a stable and secure manner. The novotegra insertion system proved to be ideal for these requirements.

Result

The project took less than two months to plan and implement and was completed faster than estimated. The project includes 27 modules with a total output of 11.88 kWp over an area of 70m². This will save 5.04 tons of CO2 annually.

“The insertion system from novotegra has been with us for a few years now. The fitters like working with it because it is easy to plan and install on the roof.”
