Transparent Design Handelsgesellschaft m.b.H. is committed to sustainable mobility and powers its vehicle fleet with self-generated solar energy. To support this goal, Auberger GmbH installed a 25.48 kWp photovoltaic system on the green roof of the company’s new building on Franzosenweg, using novotegra’s east-west green roof mounting system.

Setting the scene

Sustainability plays a key role for Transparent Design Handelsgesellschaft m.b.H. With the aim of supplying its vehicle fleet with environmentally friendly renewable energy, the company wanted to make optimal use of the roof area of its new building for on-site power generation. The green roof provided ideal conditions, combining ecological benefits with the efficient use of available space for solar power production.
For the installation, Auberger GmbH selected novotegra’s east-west green roof mounting system. The combination of a green roof and photovoltaics supports the company’s sustainability goals while helping to reduce long-term energy costs.

Meeting the challenges

Installing a photovoltaic system on a green roof requires a mounting solution that meets both the requirements of the vegetation layer and those of a high-performance solar installation. At the same time, the system needed to be quick and easy to install.

In addition to the suitable mounting solution, the project benefited from novotegra’s free initial mounting support. This ensured a smooth and efficient implementation from the very beginning. The installation team was particularly impressed by the system’s ease of assembly and low weight, which significantly simplified the work on the roof.

Result

With the successful installation of the 25.48 kWp photovoltaic system, Transparent Design Handelsgesellschaft m.b.H. now generates sustainable solar power directly on-site and uses it to support its mobility needs. The combination of a green roof and photovoltaics creates an efficient and future-oriented energy solution that delivers both environmental and economic benefits.

The installation team also gave highly positive feedback:
“Even during the first installation, the system was very easy to assemble and, thanks to its low weight, simple to implement.”

This project is an impressive example of how companies can contribute to a more sustainable future by intelligently combining green roofs, photovoltaics, and electric mobility—a true win-win situation for both the installer and the end customer.
