Setting the scene

In the quiet neighborhood of Berg Bütgenbach, the owners of a residential building achieved their goal of self-sufficiency by upgrading their roof with a PV system. The flexible flat roof II mounting system helped to meet the individual roof characteristics and quickly put this goal into practice.

Meeting the challenges

The flat roof II system has proven to be a true ally when it comes to the special roof properties at the latest. Designed to adapt seamlessly to different roof pitches, it offers unparalleled flexibility for solar installations. Moreover, the cables had to traverse longer distances to reach the parapet. Ingeniously, the base rail of the mounting system could been repurposed as a concealed cable duct.

The result

From planning to commissioning, the entire process took a mere 3-4 days. The dedication to the project and the ease of installation made it possible. A 9 kWp system, covering a total area of 77 square meters, addressed their energy needs. Together with BayWa r.e. Solar Distribution BeNeLux, the PV system was successfully implemented and produces now 9 kWp with an annual CO2 saving of 4.5 tons.
